Elizabeth Antique Appraisal Service @ Appraisal Ottawa.com
Appraisers of Fine Art, Antiques, Collectibles, and Household Goods, since 1965
What you will receive from our service is a written appraisal detailing the items along with the item's digital photos, which is the official copy, as signed by us. The appraisal is given in terms of  "Replacement Value". Furthermore, we will provide you with a cd containing an Adobe file (read-only, PDF format), allowing you to make backup copies.

You should provide your insurance company with either: i) A copy (printed or electronic) of the adobe file, plus a photocopy of the last written signed page, or: ii) A photocopy of the appaisal. Ask your insurance agent which they would prefer.

If you can have make a quick list, of what you believe you paid for the items, their provenance (i.e where it came from), and item counts (i.e. 12 of these item), then this will quicken the appraisal process hence save you money.

Your insurance appraisal of most antiques and collectibles should be updated every five years.  See/click: Appraisal Update
